Tom & Jennie Keating – France
Every week this summer, our team prepared 300-400 bags of food and prayed that God would stretch what we have to give to the hundreds more that seem to come. More women and children are coming than we’ve seen before. We are so grateful for your continued prayers and support. Because of you, we have the chance to share grace and love while meeting dire physical needs in a situation often characterized by tension and rejection. Thank you for sending us to love and serve those in greatest need!
Prayer Requests
- For the refugee camps in our area. As resources become scarce, fear and desperation lead to poor decisions and complicated distributions.
- For the cities and towns in our region as they struggle to find ways to accept and respond to the rising number of refugees.
- For our church. Several individuals and one family were denied asylum in France. Some have had to relocate or return to their home country, where they fear reprisals, rejection, and possibly violence. Pray for their safety, peace, and a way to rebuild their lives.
- For our family. Our kids start school this week, and we pray for their safety and that they will be/make good friends in their classes. Pray they retain what they learn despite language and cultural barriers.
- For us as we enter the 2nd half of our term. For deepening relationships and expanded but purposeful ministry opportunities. Please also pray that our financial and prayer support will carry us through these next two years. Thank you!
Eric & Tiffany – Eurasia
I was up early praying this week specifically for people on our street. After returning from language classes while planning to go “out and about” exploring, we locked ourselves out of the house. We spent the next three hours getting to know people on our street! Ryan met several neighborhood boys and played football, ran foot races, and even arm wrestled a boy. He won. Tiff and Vega were invited into the home of a lady down the street from our house. A beautiful evening of answered prayer and relationship building that we would have never planned for… in that way. Let’s be careful to not pray prayers with little expectation in our hearts. Let’s pray BIG and let’s expect BIG.
Prayer Requests
- For dreams and visions – We are now here, living in country, making relationships with opportunities to point to the person to Jesus. Pray with us that the Holy Spirit would do the heart work.
- For Peace – Pray that the majority population would experience peace not only in their nation but also deeply in their hearts.
- Pray for us to find a routine – What!? The Richardsons… routine?! Wow, can’t believe I just typed that. (I typed and deleted it a couple of times.)
- Pray we find a routine as a family as we adjust to life, school, language classes, teaching English, learning and growing.
